JANUARY 2018 NEWSLETTER
Happy New Year from Caring for People Services! We hope 2018 is a great year for you & your family!
Thank you to The Grand Reserve at Elkhorn
Thank you to The Grand Reserve of Elkhorn for letting us host their Friday breakfast December 29th. We had so much fun meeting everyone and enjoyed sharing about our services. We cannot wait to go back in February for a fun game of Olympic Trivia.
Starting Services with Caring for People Services
After seeing Mom and Dad over the holidays, you noticed that they were moving a little slower or seemed to need more help with meal preparation and housekeeping. We can help! Starting services begins with a confidential meeting to discuss needs and preferences for your loved one. Next, we will come out to the home and do a free evaluation and to discuss a care plan. Caring for People Services will then find a caregiver that is a good personality and skill match for your loved one. Services will begin with introductions between the caregiver and your loved one. Caring for People Services conducts regular follow-up visits to ensure the quality of care is maintained. We would love to be able to help you and your loved one. Call our office to set up a free in-home evaluation. 402-932-6996
Beating the Winter Blues
The winter blues, or seasonal affective disorder (SAD), affects millions of people every year. It can affect people of any age and affects everyone differently. Here are some tips that can help beat those blues:
1. Keep Active – This can be taking a walk daily or making sure that you keep an active social calendar.
2. Get Outside – Natural daylight gives your body the Vitamin D it needs and improves focus.
3. Plan a Vacation – Getting a change of scenery can help improve your mood.
4. Help Others – This can get your focus off the cold and improve your mental health
5. Take Up a New Hobby – This will help your mind stay active.
